Пожар возник в воскресенье на крыше здания театра, его площадь достигла 250 кв. м. Из здания были эвакуированы 50 человек. Сведений о пострадавших не поступало. Ранее в пресс-службе столичного главка МЧС сообщили "Интерфаксу", что пожарные выявили очаг возгорания в театре, ремонтные работы там не проводились. В сентябре 2023 года сообщалось, что в Москве приступили к капитальному ремонту фасада и купола Театра Сатиры. Ожидалось, что работы завершат в этом году.
